How it all began

Celtic Miniatures began from the
dream of a young girl that grew up
in Upstate New York. She began
working with Miniature Horses under
Rainbow Acres in Ghent NY at the
age of twelve. Through hard work
Cristal began showing horses for
the owner, Shirley Steward. Cristal
travelled throughout the Northeast
showing the horses of Rainbow Acres.
She often found herself being sought
out by other farms and trainers to help in the show ring. This gave her a
unique opportunity to learn a variety of show styles and techniques which she
has put together into her own methods of training.

Cristal was married to an Active Duty Army soldier in 1995. Through that
marriage  she realized her dream could become a reality. She found herself in
San Antonio, Texas in 1999. After attending a show she met Judy Frazier,
owner and head trainer of Cinder Oaks Training. Judy was the lead trainer
and handler of Miniatures from such notable farms as Alamo Miniatures ,
Bettes Miniatures and Hallmark Miniatures. Cristal began training under and
for Judy and the fun hasn't stopped since. She travelled a 100 mile trip daily
for almost a year to learn and train some of the best horses in the Miniature
Horse Industry today. She has worked with such names as Hallmark
Miniatures ""To Sir With Loves Boomer" (AMHA and AMHR  National
Reserve Grand Champion Futurity winner, National Reserve Champion
Senior Stallion and National Reserve Champion Amateur Senior Stallion-
pictured above) and Alamo Miniatures "Locomotion"

With a strong Irish and Scottish heritage naming her training facility Celtic
Miniatures Training was an easy choice.

Today Cristal and her family live back in upstate New York. There she has
begun training for local owners and leading a variety of training clinics.
Cristal has also become a certified judge for
WCMHR (World Class Miniature
Horse Registry). She was the first person to receive full certification from the
registry and will be judging 2 shows this year. On June 4th Cristal will be
judging at Little Brook Farm for the
Abbr. Equines Miniature Horse Club.
July 9th will find her judging for
Adirondack Miniature Horse Club.

Cristal has also taken on Mountain Top Miniatures in Ancram, NY.
Mountain Top Miniatures focuses on breeding top Appoloosa Minatures.
